Confirmation

In the Anglican Church, those who are baptised as children are encouraged to confirm their faith when they are of an age to do so for themselves. This is not so much a physical age so much as a decision made by the person when they feel more confident in their understanding of the Christian faith and their commitment to walking in that way.

The service of Confirmation is presided over by a Bishop. As such, Confirmation is offered to coincide with an Episcopal visit to the parish, which usually occurs once every year. Please contact the Vicar to register your interest for Confirmation. A period of preparation is offered beforehand, in order to explore some basic aspects of the faith and the Anglican teaching.
